It is almost time for athletes from around
the world to compete again for Olympic gold.
This time in Korea, the land that gave us

The three doctors who did most of the work
understood the value of Korean health tonics,
which is why so very few Korean civilians
    required their services. Unfortunately, most
everybody else tended to avoid those remedies,
which explains the high casualty rate among

When a Korean gets sick, he or she knows what
to do. Rather than call for a doctor from abroad,
best to find three blind mice. Or sighted, if
blind are unavailable. As long as they are baby
mice, it really does not matter. Mice are mice.

These mice are taken shortly after birth, with
eyes still closed so as not to give them any chance
to run away, and dropped alive into a jug of rice
wine. The wine is then left to ferment for a while,
to give it the desired taste. After the wine is
    imbibed, the mice are eaten.

This remedy cures whatever malady the individual
is suffering immediately. And best of all, there
are no side effects, such as indigestion, sore
    throat, or cough.

I really think Koreans should consider making
this a new Olympic sport. Baby Mice Wine. The
athlete who consumes the most mice wins. Could
even make this a team sport, assuming enough mice
    can be found.
